Wine is the blood that runs through the families veins and the business itself actually started with the sale of a private family collection. In the last few years, our passion for wine has taken us along a number of interesting and unusual paths including supplying wine to several restaurants in Iceland, selling corporate gifts to a film studio in California and retailing to some internationally famous people.
Our managing director, Gerard Richardson can be found serving behind the shop counter on Lowther Street. Gerard's passion for Wine and the town has helped put Whitehaven on the International Map and he is in demand as a lecturer on wine and food matching. He has most recently been seen performing all weekend at the Made in Cumbria Food and Drink Festival.
We also stock a large range of coffee; something we can't live without these days. We stock a great range of flavoured and non-flavoured coffee's for every taste. We continuously change our stocks to bring a great variety of new and old stocks back in the shop so keep popping into our store!
